Uncle Jimmy and Olivia

Here is how Olivia "Lil Jaundice" Faulkner spent the first few days of her being. This was the absolute most relaxed that she was in the light box.

Grandma Lynyrd in the hospital before she went extreme home-makeover on my houses arse.

A Quick One

Olivia James Faulkner

Momma bear the day before.

The lovely May weather in Logan

This was just before all hell broke loose. She was a champ and made it to 6+ cm and then had some back labor and tapped out. She got an amazing epidural that let her still feel contractions and push, but not be in a death spiral of pain.

She came out and just chilled. She has been really mellow.

Momma was real excited.

She fussed and moaned when the nurses were poking around and probing, other than that she has been mellow.

I am digging this little baby thing.

I got to give her the first bath. It was really neat. Babies are reesty, until the are lathered rinsed and repeated.

Again with the nurses poking around.

Big ol purple paws.

She was trying to suck her finger clean off of her hand. To her dismay, it didn't work.

Ollie dropped about a month and a half ago and was posterior, so her head was all bruised up and nose got smooshed up. Doctors say it'll pop out and it already is. She looks like a retired heavy weight boxer. Too cute.

Me and Ollie trying to sleep. Emphasis on trying. Baby rocks at sleeping. I am not so good.

The Baby Made It.

Ok. Tay's water broke at 12:15pm. I raced home loaded up, forgot half of the crap that we needed and booked it to the hospital. So that we could wait until 3:45am for the little bugger to hit the deck. Everyone is happy, healthy and tired. The baby rules. She was posterior so her head is ultra aerodynamic, to put it gently, and her nose is smooshed like a retired heavyweight boxer. She is super alert and is looking around at everything. She was no Tongi baby, typically in the 12-18lb range, she was 6lbs 15oz and was 19.5 inches long. So cool to be parents. Scary as all hell, but cool.

I have to take a final and then I will post some pictures.
